On Sunday, February 15, 2026, the Kumamoto Castle Marathon will be held in Kumamoto City.
The course includes the vicinity of Kumamoto Port, and traffic regulations will be in effect for an extended period of time on the day of the event.

Due to the traffic restrictions, the free shuttle bus service between Kumamoto Port and JR Kumamoto Station is expected to be affected by delays, etc. Therefore, all shuttle bus services will be suspended on February 15.

The ferry service between Kumamoto Port and Shimabara Port will operate as usual, but we ask that passengers allow plenty of time for their arrival.
